I love Summer...

Memorial day weekend in NYC...WOOHOO i am having a blast!!...hanging out with the fam is truly the best....

Our goal:
To see as much broadway DISNEY shows we can,
we conquered Tarzan today, beauty and the beast is scheduled for tomorrow....
yup i am a disney freak...

Tarzan was so touching and beautiful...the production team dealing with scene changes and backdrops did an awesome job, i cant imagine how people can be so creative, how do they know what can inspire awe in an audience?.....the singing, dancing, everything...i am such a sucker for performance art...i wish i had that kind of talent...gawd...
It also didnt hurt that Tarzan was so damn sexy lol...Jane didnt deserve him ha!...beside tarzan is a racist, how comes it, he falls in love with the first white chic that comes his way....rubbish....my two cents...

I want to introduce y'all to a book by Tracie Howard's titled "Gold digger's"....i usually stay reading STRICTLY romance novels (the thick ones not m&b's)...but my strictly m&b reading older sister recommended this book to me and i was QUITE stunned that she was straying away from her beloved genre of novels and decided that this book must really be sweet....so i read it..and it turns out that it really was...i could barely put it down...finished it in about 3 hrs....i have since then termed this novel, the "travelling book"....because after telling my friends about it they were all eager to read it and right now it is in boston soon to be dispatched to my friends apt in philly and then to virginia lol.....

I cant put a finger on what exactly i found fascinating BUT all i know was that it was hella interesting.....its a book which encourages discussion, and i cant wait for all my friends to read it, so i can ask them how they feel about certain characters. It is a black author, so you can guess that colorism is discussed QUITE FRANKLY, infact to the point where i had to google the author to find out if she was light skinned or dark skinned...yes it was that serious....so anyway buy the book, borrow the book....ANYTHING!...just go ahead and read the book ladies, lets discuss it...

Finally!

I am settledddd woohooo!!!....moved into a new apt 2 weeks ago....and today comcast FINALLY did what they were paid to do and gave me effing cable/internet service...it really was about damn time...for the past 2 weeks i have been mentally ALL OVER the place...its so hard living without cable or internet...like seriously!!....i went a yr without a cell phone easily(something that I NEVER thot i could do) BUT 2 weeks without internet and cable was like HELL on earth....i am so backwards in entertainment blog jist, i have so many fbook albums to view (loser) so many msgs to reply.....so much ish to do.....where do i frigging START?????!

WHEW!

Anyway sooo i like totally love my new location, there is nothing like living in a very convenient area...life is so good yay!....

I want to say a big happy birthday to my sweetheart ABBY, she turned 21 on monday..(FINALLY!) .....She can finally burn her FAKE ID, that SELDOM worked anyway lol...really im so excited!...cant wait to see u in 2 weeks girl!!!!

I have been reading a lot of books on entertaining, i am thinking of hosting the cutest ever theme party...dont know when...but i know its going to be soo cute...i am thinking a breakfast at tiffany's type thing...to go hand in hand with my obsession with holly golightly...of cus.....there is this abs shambolic canvas of her in ikea that i really want to get my fingers on....its about 79 bucks and that it Quite steep...considering that we (sis & I) had to get new furniture for our living room and things....so hopefully...the stars can align and i can fit it into my budget...:(... for now i have to make do with my miniature canvas of her....sigh*
whats really cute is that i visited this really fab girls house the other day and saw it hanging in her room...sign*...now i want it even more....and im slightly jealous..

If there was one trait about myself that i could pick as my fave, it would be my ability TO NOT HATE ON GIRLS WHO ARE KILLING IT.....i have met my fair share of girls who will literally dump all over any girl who seems to be doing it for her self...whether its in terms of brains, baffs or beauty....i always thank God that i am on the other side of the fence....the fence which appreciates....i dont understand how to be on the other side....and i never want to....i believe that if i was that type of chic who is always hating....i would have DIED of bitterness this weekend...because the amount of goodlooking educated chics i met this weekend alone was just ridiculous....like i felt like i was being slapped from every corner...i was very impressed shaz....i am talking smart, beautiful african chics....wearing clothes that I LOVE .....driving nice cute signature cars...its a good thing definitely....you always need friends like that to keep u FOCUSED lol....make you want to work hard and get that money in your pocket so you can casually rock loubotins too...amen...God is in control.

I have been thinking alot about the cranberry summer collection.... looking for new places to buy fabric....im thinking along the lines of very breezy, very carefree...when i say i...i mean we...anyway....yes...carefree and breezy...summer dresses....sigh*....but since nyc is always true to me...i am making a stop there this weekend to see what attracts me...... wish me luck!

We definitely rocked cranberry to this really nice party on saturday...had A LOT of beautiful ladies giving us their contact info...yay!...had this girl offer 400 dollars for joans dress...awesome.....i have to say that i really love the fam throwing the party...really wonderful pple..:).
On an ending note, i am compelled to holla at my pple tho so i go, "Igbo kwenu"!!...

when all else fails....you cant go wrong with cranberry..lol...goodtimes.

On a purely random note...

Amidst the whirlwind of moving house, job search & babysitting, i havent had the time to sit down and take a deep breath. This weekend i decided to slow it down a little bit and hit up a modelling competition in philadelphia...featuring FIVE model troupes, they compete in terms of choreography, runway & the battle....the team who wins the most categories WINS...my dears, i am telling you now... if you have never been to one these joints...please find a way to go because those competitions are PURE ENTERTAINMENT..LOLOL .....although the show is kinda, sorta, REALLY razz, you find yourself giving standing ovations because some ish they do is frAgging Amazing! its just ridiculously stunning watching people twirl and stamp and twirl again...black people put a spin on EVERYTHING!!....Honestly Apart from the fact that a frigging 2 hr show lasted for 5 hrs thanks to BLACK pple and their niggerish ways...it was awesomely entertaining, a culture shock if you must...loved it!..big ups to the Temple team DYNASTY, they took the crown...they had a doll theme for their choreography, which was actually really cute, i was QUITE impressed...hopefully someone recorded the damn thing so i can put it on here sometime....but for now i found a clip of the "battle" LOL on youtube....Open your hearts people, and embrace a culture other than yours.....

Shoutout to Haute Magazine's 2nd edition, soon to be released.
Also check out, " fashionnigeria.com" for a brief preview of the magazine..

On a funny note, i got this email from a girl i went to college with, she wanted to know if Cranberry could help her modify a trad outfit already designed for her, which she didnt like..... basically you can compare her email to a project runway type challenge...(imagine Tim Gunn's Voice) "Use the garment placed in front of you to create a new garment i would like!"....interesting..

CIAO!
